Donna Carbell, MBA

Donna Carbell is responsible for the Individual Insurance business at Equitable Life of Canada.
Donna is a collaborative leader who brings a wealth of financial services industry knowledge with more than 25 years of experience in progressively senior roles. Prior to joining Equitable in 2021, Donna spent 20+ years with Manulife and most recently was the Head of Group Benefits in Canada, as well as the International Group Program; a global business that supports multi-national employers across 50+ countries.
Donna is passionate about all aspects of health: financial, physical and mental health. She focuses on developing financial solutions that provide protection to support the health of Canadians by focussing on connecting people with technology and creative products and solutions that engage them during critical life events.
Donna is on the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Canada and the Board of Directors of the Canadian Cancer Society. She holds an MBA in Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University and a degree in Political Science from Carleton University.

Prior to her time at TESLA, Jamie managed new product development for Business Aircraft and Specialized Aircraft for Bombardier Aerospace. In her spare time, she’s a mom of an adorable, aspiring 10-year old goalie named Ivan and a mentor to students and alumni from McGill University.

Karlee’s unique advising practice draws from her experience as a Certified Financial Planner and professionally trained life and career coach. Karlee Vukets & Co. is an independent, full-service, boutique financial planning firm in Canada helping female professionals, young couples and wealth inheritors organize their finances, gain clarity and confidence in their financial decisions, and manage their net worth.
Karlee obtained a degree in Business of Cinematic Arts from the University of Southern California, which was fueled by her dual passions of business and the arts. During her time in Los Angeles, she created a thriving career in live-television production on shows such as American Idol, American Music Awards and the Primetime Emmy Awards.
Given Karlee’s previous career, she personally understands the challenges and barriers professional women can face in managing their own finances. Karlee finds her energy in helping women build bridges between the emotional and practical realities of their financial lives.
Outside of work, Karlee dedicates much of her time and expertise to the charitable sector. She is driven to make an impact through her roles as Executive Director of the Michael and Karen Vukets Family Foundation, Board Member of Canada’s National Ballet School, past Board Member of The Glenn Gould Foundation, and member of the inaugural Vision 2020 New Philanthropy Journey at the Toronto Foundation.

Oricia Smith is President of SLGI Asset Management Inc. and Senior Vice President of Investment Solutions for Sun Life Canada. She is responsible for the development, management and growth of the organization.
Oricia joined Sun Life in 2016, as Head of the International Investment Centre (IIC), an investment consulting and manager research team with relationships with more than 100 investment management companies. The IIC is responsible for oversight and governance on over C$150 billion of assets invested on behalf of Sun Life and Sun Life’s clients globally. Oricia moved into SLC Management in 2017 (Sun Life's global asset management company) and more recently expanded her role to include accountability for SLC Management’s Product Development, CRM and Sales Analytics team.
Prior to joining Sun Life, Oricia spent over 17 years at Invesco and started her career in the investment banking division at TD Securities.
Oricia is actively involved in the industry and is passionate about supporting diversity and inclusion. Oricia is Trustee of the Sun Life Benevolent Fund, Executive Sponsor of Sun Life’s InvestHER Women’s Network and co-founder of 100 Women Who Care Toronto West. She is a past member of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada Strategic Research Committee, Ontario Securities Commission Investment Funds Product Advisory and past President of Olympium Synchronized Swimming Club.
Oricia has both an HBA and MBA from the University of Western Ontario Richard Ivey School of Business and is a Rotman alumnus as a The Judy Project graduate.
